A213 Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe
Product Introduction
ASTM A213 is a comprehensive standard specification covering seamless ferritic and austenitic alloy-steel boiler tubes, superheater tubes, and heat exchanger tubes. Unlike standard carbon steel pipes, A213 encompasses a wide range of alloy grades (such as T5, T9, T11, T22, and T91) designed specifically for high-temperature service. These tubes are engineered to resist oxidation and maintain high mechanical strength (creep resistance) in the extreme environments found in power generation and petrochemical industries.

Product Features
Superior High-Temperature Performance: A213 tubes are alloyed with elements like Chromium (Cr) and Molybdenum (Mo) to enhance their strength and stability at elevated temperatures. For example, Grade T91 offers exceptional creep strength, allowing it to withstand high stress over long periods without deforming.
Oxidation & Corrosion Resistance: The addition of chromium provides excellent resistance to oxidation (scaling) and corrosion, making these tubes suitable for aggressive environments and superheated steam applications.
Versatile Alloy Grades: The specification covers various grades to suit different temperature and pressure requirements:
Low Alloy: T2, T12, T22 (General boiler use).
High Alloy/Ferritic: T5, T9, T91 (High heat resistance).
Austenitic (Stainless): TP304, TP316, TP321, TP347 (Corrosion and high heat).
Seamless Integrity: Being seamless, these tubes offer uniform wall thickness and superior pressure containment capabilities compared to welded alternatives, which is critical for safety in boiler operations.
Product Applications
Power Generation Boilers: Widely used in the construction of water walls, generating tubes, and boiler banks in thermal power plants.
Superheaters & Reheaters: Essential for superheater and reheater sections where steam temperatures can exceed 500°C to 600°C.
Heat Exchangers: Used in high-temperature heat exchangers within refineries and chemical processing plants.
Petrochemical Industry: Employed in piping systems that transport hot fluids and gases in cracking furnaces and reformers.
High-Pressure Piping: Suitable for high-pressure steam lines and process piping requiring specific alloy properties for thermal stability.
