A106 Grade B Steel Pipe
A106 Grade B Steel Pipe Description
A106 steel pipe is a low carbon steel pipe whose main components are carbon, silicon, manganese and small amounts of chromium, copper, nickel and molybdenum. It is a seamless steel pipe suitable for transporting liquids and gases in high temperature and high pressure environments. The manufacturing process of A106 steel pipe usually includes steps such as hot rolling, cold drawing and cold working. During these processes, the internal structure of the pipe is made tighter through heat and pressure treatment, thereby improving its strength and corrosion resistance. A106 steel pipe can be used in many different fields, such as oil, natural gas, chemical industry, electric power, shipbuilding, aerospace, etc..

Product Features
High-Temperature Resistance: Designed to operate effectively in high-temperature environments (up to 750°F / 400°C) without losing structural stability, making it ideal for steam lines and boiler tubes.
High Strength: Grade B offers a minimum yield strength of 35,000 psi (240 MPa) and a tensile strength of 60,000 psi (415 MPa), providing superior resistance to internal pressure and mechanical stress.
Seamless Construction: Being a seamless pipe, it lacks a welded seam, which eliminates the risk of weld failure and ensures uniform strength around the circumference, crucial for high-pressure containment.
Excellent Weldability: Despite its strength, A106 Gr. B maintains good ductility and can be easily welded, bent, and flanged, allowing for versatile installation in complex piping networks.
Product Applications
Power Generation: Extensively used in power plants for high-pressure steam pipelines, boiler tubes, and superheater tubes.
Oil & Gas Industry: Serves as a primary material for refinery piping, process piping, and gathering lines that transport crude oil and natural gas.
Petrochemical Plants: Used in chemical processing equipment where pipes are exposed to high heat and corrosive fluids.
Industrial Boilers: A standard choice for the construction and maintenance of industrial boiler systems and heat exchangers.
